Just a quick post to share my latest spring update using Dollar Tree supplies for an inexpensive floral arrangement in less than ten minutes.
It’s been a challenging day of Adulting and Autism, so I was happy when I opened my email and found this great SVG Freebie from one of my many email subscriptions. I usually cut stencils and paint, but I wanted something simple today. So while we packed up to head out to Dollar Tree, I uploaded and cut the file using Black Matte 651 by Oracal and set aside a pre-made sign board from Hobby Lobby. Unfortunately, I bought it without checking to make sure it wasn’t warped, so it’s been used for staging my photos. They have great prices, but always check your items before you buy. Anyway, we then headed out to get ice cream for them and floral supplies for me.
I love our neighborhood Dollar Tree. It’s just a mile down the road, the parking lot is easy to get in and out of, and the staff knows us well. They often open a extra register so we can leave quickly, especially when they notice it’s not a good day. One of my favorite moments was hearing the assistant manager greet them by name and say “Good Morning” over the intercom as we walked through the door.
But I digress. There really isn’t much in terms of directions. I usually just grab anything I have available at home for a base to secure the stems and throw it all together until I like how it looks. Today’s base was courtesy of my hoarding Lysol containers. I use the wipes when working on my Chalk Couture projects to keep them clean and lasting for at least 8-12 uses. I cut an X on the bottom, put the stems through, then shaped the the arrangement before adding the Spanish moss.
Let me know what you think and what projects you’re making for your Spring update.
