I love living in an area that supports local shopping and farm-to-table dining. Spring and Summer at the farmers market is one of my favorite times of year.
We take a walk each morning no matter the weather (Autism anxiety is best handled with consistency and routine) so when the markets are in full swing we rotate through our favorites on Saturday mornings – McKinney’s market in Historic Downtown, Coppell Farmers Market in Old Town Coppell (check out George Coffee + Provisions while you’re there! It will feel like you’ve made a trip to Magnolia without the drive to Waco) and Good Local Markets in Dallas near White Rock and the Arboretum.
FRESH LOCAL EGGS ARE MY FAVORITE FROM THE FARMERS MARKET
One of my favorite items to purchase at the Market are fresh eggs. Yes, they cost more. But you get what you pay for. There is just no comparison to eggs direct from a local farm. The size, colors and taste are hands down better than any store bought eggs. If you love farm fresh local eggs too, head over to my Shop for a few of these fun egg containers for your fresh eggs. And to help out your local farmer, take it with you in a reusable canvas tote so they can recycle their cartons for the next Market.
