It’s unbelievably hot (as usual) here in Texas, but it’s my Birthday Month so I’ll find ways to try to enjoy a few cold brews and Frappuccino’s to celebrate and keep cool. It’s been a very busy few months of dealing with Autism, and when my self-imposed “vacation” came to an end, life continued to throw unexpected curveballs, causing this long overdue post to be delayed over a month.
Things have somewhat begun to settle enough for us, so I’ve started prepping for the launch of a new product line and the upcoming Fall & Holiday season. The craft stores have made the transition from Summer to Fall and Hobby Lobby has started clearing shelves for Christmas!
SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATES
I’ve also been working on new logos, pages and reorganizing to align with the blog. My goal is to eventually have everything under the At Home With Shanel name to make finding and following simpler. For now, I’m cross posting and sharing, but if you’re not following any of my social media accounts, here are the best links:
NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH – ESPECIALLY FILLED GIFT BOXES
I’m excited to have been working on a new idea for my fellow Special Needs families and former work colleagues. If you’re a teacher or therapist for Special Families, head on over to my Facebook page and leave a comment about what gift items you like to receive. The gift boxes will be available for pre-order starting August 4th. There will be four main options available – The School Year Box, The Back to School Box, The Holiday & Appreciation Box and the End of Year Box. There will also be Add-on items and smaller Box options that are specific to the type of gift you’d like to give.
Although the focus is Special Education Teachers and Therapists, there will be lots of options for any teacher or caregiver and custom order requests are always an option.
I WANT ALL THE CHALK THINGS
I’ve not had a chance to chalk much lately, but I’ve been enjoying planning and buying new transfers from the new Chalk Couture Catalog that released on July 2nd. There are over 100 new transfers, pastes, inks, surfaces and accessories.
If you like to make your own holiday gifts, this is the perfect time to join chalk Couture so you can save time and money on your handmade gifts. Also, there’s lots of great surfaces and transfers if you’re wanting to update your holiday decor with signs, pillows and even ornaments.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this update and will check back soon for new posts and freebies. Don’t forget to check out The Shop and subscribe so you don’t miss an update. Also, feel free to comment below or send an email to [email protected] if you have any questions or suggestions.
Have a great week!
